ABOUT ME

Born and raised as the youngest of four children in the town of Grindsted in rural Denmark, I pursued first an education in anthropology from a Danish university and then in counselling psychology from a Canadian university.
 
This intersection of culture and psychology has brought me to Africa, where I have worked for 12 years among mostly marginalized populations, e.g. prison inmates, former child solders, etc. followed by six years in a Danish psychology center with mostly English-speaking expats.
 
My continued specialization in mental health among expat individuals and couples is in this way a reflection of both a personal and professional life path.

Moving to another country is often wrapped in beautiful words: opportunity, adventure, growth, new beginnings.


And it can be all of that.
